Dublin creches are the most expensive in the country.
According to a survey in the Irish Independent, the average annual cost to put two children in childcare in Dublin is 21,562 euro - while the highest in the capital is 25,200 euro.
Dublin is almost 5,00 euro more on average than some rural parts of the country.
Prices in Limerick dropped as low as 15,500 euro a year, while it was 16,000 in Galway.
A recent report from parenting website MummyPages.ie found that 45 percent of mothers said the cost of childcare stopped them from going back to work, while 83 percent of parents say they believe Ireland is going through a childcare crisis.
