Dublin City Council wants you to blow up your inflatable shamrock and celebrate 25 years since Italia 90.

A special night is being held in the Aviva on Thursday the 16th of April as part of the One City One Book festival.

It's focusing on Roddy Doyle's Barrytown Trilogy and in particular, the novel The Van, which is set during the World Cup in 1990.

Special guests will include Bill O'Herlihy, John Giles and Eamon Dunphy, who led tributes to Jack's Army that fateful summer.

City Librarian Jane Alger also says there'll be surprise special guests in the audience too.

Tickets cost a very 1990 sum of €5 and are available through www.entertainment.ie
