Theres calls for more gardai to tackle beach drinking this summer.
A lack of resources is being blamed for underage boozing by the seaside.
At a policing meeting in Malahide this week residents expressed their concerns about teens drinking on beaches in the months ahead.
They called for increased garda resources to police gangs of young people who will flock to the coast when it's warm.
Residents complained that they have to clean up the mess made afterwards and older people are afraid to go to the seaside when groups of teens converge.
Garda representatives said that last year's operation was very successful and that drinking and anti social behaviour will not be tolerated.
