Groups working with rape and sexual assault victims say the Gardaí need to do more to inspire confidence.
It follows yesterday's Garda Inspectorate Report, which criticised the force for allowing officers to investigate cases, despite having little or no training in dealing with victims.
The Inspectorate says that's not the case in other countries.
Ellen O'Malley Dunlop of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre says the force must follow through with the recommendations.
