The Lord Mayor of Dublin says he doesn't want to see clamping fines go up.
There were calls this week for the penalty to be increased, as the current amount of 80 euro hasn't gone up since 1998.
A Dublin City Council official, suggested raising the illegal parking fee to 130 euro.
But Christy Burke says any increase would only serve the company operating the clamping service:
