A protest is taking place outside the Department of Justice this morning, calling for a young Afghan man to be released from Cloverhill prison.
Walli Ullah Safi was found by a member of the public walking along the Naas Road in Dublin around a fortnight ago.
The 21 year old can't speak English and it's understood he was picked up for allegedly not having any papers on him.
He was remanded in custody at Cloverhill prison and was badly injured when a riot broke out there on Wednesday.
