Hundreds of thousands of bus passengers have had their travel plans disrupted today because of strike action at Bus Eireann and Dublin Bus.
A 48 hour strike over the company's plans for privatisation got underway at midnight last night.
Unions are vowing to press ahead with a further six days of industrial action.
Papers are being lodged at the High Court as the companies try to recoup up to 20 million euro in losses from the industrial action.
Bus drivers say this legal action is an attack on workers.
