Heavily armed police and soldiers are patrolling parts of Brussels - after the city's terror alert was raised to the highest possible level.
Belgium's Prime Minister says the move follows "quite precise information about the risk of an attack like the one that happened in Paris".
The underground system has been closed and people in the capital are being urged to avoid busy areas.
