New figures show that the bomb squad dealt with 52 viable devices in 2014.
That's an attack for every single week of the year.
The army bomb squad was called out 141 times in total last year.
Most call out were for old military munitions, false alarms, hoaxes and dangerous chemicals but more than one in three was a so called viable device - thats a home made pipe bomb that can detonate and cause serious injury.
Of the 141 calls outs,59 were in Dublin and 26 were viable.
So far this year the bomb squad has been called out 67 times, 22 times here in the city.
