Some of the Irish students who witnesses the Berkeley balcony collapse but who weren't injured, are expected to sue over their emotional distress.
Lawyers for one of the survivors said they anticipated extra lawsuits against the owner, builders and manager of the building.
Six students were killed and 7 injured when the balcony gave way in California in June.
A number of the uninjured students rushed down to help their friends after the tragedy.
