Babies in need of specialist heart care will reportedly have to wait two years before getting an appointment at Temple St Children's hospital.

The shocking revelation comes a week after Minister James said no one should be left waiting for cardiology treatment for longer than 12 months.

The Irish Independent are reporting this morning that 367 children were waiting in excess of a year for a heart appointment in Temple St Hospital last year.
