A number of staff working for AXA Insurance in the City Centre have been told their jobs are moving to Derry.
The workers, who are currently based at Wolfe Tone Street - have been told any redundancies will be voluntary.
Little has been said by the company however, they did release the following statement today.
“AXA Insurance operates on an all Island basis and following a review of its business processes has decided in the interests of efficiency and customer service to consolidate some of its operations, which will involve the relocation of some roles from Dublin to Derry.'
The company went on to point out that 'net job losses will be small and the company is confident this can be achieved on a voluntary basis.
“AXA will not be commenting on any specific details as discussions with employee representatives are ongoing,” the statement says.
