A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a 6 year old in Ballyfermot in June.
Sean Skully suffered spinal injuries in the attack near his home at Croftwood Gardens.
The suspect was picked up on Saturday evening under Section 50 of the criminal justice act.
He was taken to Ballyfermot garda station for questioning and was released without charge on Sunday evening.
Gardai say a file is being prepared for the DPP.
This is the second arrested in connection with the investigation.
