Almost Third Young People Can't Vote

Almost a third of young people between the ages of 18 and 25 are not registered to vote.

The National Youth Council of Ireland has revealed the results of its latest survey on the issue today.

The group is blaming an outdated system for the low numbers and is calling for people to be automatically registered on the electoral list once they turn 18.
