Shooting stars and the International Space Station are set to light up our skies tonight.

The Perseid meteor shower is due to peak, meaning we could see a shooting star every minute.

The ISS, described as being 100 times brighter than any star in the sky, is also due to fly above us.

Editor of Astronomy Ireland magazine David Moore says there's a lot of activity in the sky this week.
