We've teamed up with Arnotts once again this year to bring Christmas cheer to the Dublin suburbs. You may remember last year, along with Arnotts we took over a Dublin Bus on a cold Monday morning and transformed it into a travelling Christmas party for 60 unsuspecting passengers.The festive journey included a host of special guests, entertainment and a Christmas gift for all as part of our Christmas Crackers Campaign with the department store.
This year, we kicked things up a notch with BIG RED and our Thunder team visiting Raheny with a pop up Christmas Grotto accompanied by none other than the much loved Arnotts Santa Claus. Santa met with over 200 children at Raheny GAA hall where kids enjoyed music, face painting, games and children were also able to write their letters and personally deliver them to the man himself.
Arnotts went the extra mile and surprised one lucky family in their home a week later with some early gifts from their Toytown store. John and Amanda Langan, local Raheny residents and their 4 children, Sophie 12, Hannah 9, Eva Jane, 5 and James 2, were totally taken by surprise with an unexpected visit from Arnotts and the 98FM team, including Dara Quilty and Brian Maher.

Much to their delight Arnotts and Santa sent them items from their wishlist including an Alcatel OnetouchPixi 3 tablet and 3G Smartphone combo from Expert Electrical, an Orbeez Soothing Spa, John Deere Tractor, Care Bears in blue and pink, a Monster High Doll and much, much more from Toytown. They also gifted an equally shocked John and Amanda with his and hers gift sets courtesy of Mont Blanc and Clinique at the Beauty Hall at Arnotts.
An overwhelmed John said “This is such a fantastic surprise for the kids, they are overcome with excitement. Thank you so much to Arnotts and 98FM for arranging such a great pre-Christmas treat!”
The video launches the Arnotts Christmas Wishlist campaign which runs on Dublin’s 98FM in a 12 day super giveaway. 98FM listeners will get the chance to win a host of premium gifts from Arnotts every day, including €1000 Sonos equipment, beauty hampers, jewellery and designer accessories.
