More than 56 thousand cars were clamped in Dublin last year, generating over 4.2 million euro in fees for Dublin City Council.
An average of 2 cars a day were clamped at Merrion Square West making it the biggest clamping blackspot in the city.
It was followed by Mespil Road, Ormond Quay Upper, Pearse Street and Waterloo Road making up the top 5.
Over 22 thousand cars were clamped for not having a permit in pay and display, followed by no valid paid parking, using a clearway or loading bay.
Vehicles were most likely to get clamped on a Thursday during the winter while the summer months saw fewer offences.
