A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash in Galway.
It happened on the N17 at Polkeen in Castlegar at around 9.45 last night.
The 52-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital, the driver of the car was uninjured.
The road is closed this morning and diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
