A man has appeared before a special sitting of Bray District Court, charged with assault causing harm to 4 children, at a house in Wicklow on Friday.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to a house in Blainroe, at about 7.30pm on Friday night.
There they found the four children in a serious condition.
35-year-old Stephen Harnett with an address of Kilpoole Upper, Wicklow, appeared before the court wearing a grey tracksuit.
