A 24-year-old woman has been knocked down and killed in Galway.
She was one of two people hit by a car just off the N17 at Claregalway in the early hours of this morning.
The other pedestrian, a man in his 20s, has been taken to Hospital but his injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the car wasn't injured.
A post-mortem will be carried out on the body of the dead woman.
And Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Mill Street Garda Station.
