Frustration may be to blame for nearly 200 social welfare staff members been attacked while doing their job over the past two years.

The Irish Examiner reports they've faced death threats, knife attacks, physical assaults and verbal abuse.

Some of the most serious attacks have happened at the Navan Road social protection office -

As well as in Tallaght in Dublin where one member of the public had their neck slashed.
