150 'Posh Prefabs' Approved For Dublin

Government ministers have approved so-called 'posh prefabs' to ease the housing crisis.

The first 150 of the modular homes will be ordered immediately and should be ready to move into before Christmas.

A total of 950 of them are expected to be dotted around Dublin to help ease local authority waiting lists.

Those in charge have said the homes will be used to temporarily house families until more homes become available to rent.

The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, says he's impressed with the quality of the modular homes "they're in different shapes and forms, they're very acceptable, they're guaranteed for insulation and comfort and warmth".
