107 Million Euro For 562 Social Houses in Dublin

Almost one hundred and 7 million euro will be spend on 562 social houses in Dublin over the next 2 and a half years. 

The government has today unveiled the number of building projects to be completed by 2017. 

Nineteen sites in the four Dublin local authorities have been earmarked.

South Dublin Co. Council will have the most works with 203 homes to be built under 7 different projects.

It is followed by Dublin City Council which will see 167 new houses come on stream.

One hundred and 7 new homes will be built in the Fingal area and 89 in Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown. 

Three thousand jobs will be created in the construction phase. 

 

List of housing projects to get underway: 

South Dublin County Council:

St. Marks Green, Clondalkin, 11 homes - 2.4 million euro
Fortunestown (MacUilliam), Tallaght, 28 homes - 5.6 million euro
Mayfield Estate, Clondalkin, 18 homes - 3.6 million euro
Dromcarra, Tallaght, 22 homes - 4.4 million euro
Owendoher, Ballyboden, Rathfarnham, 35 new homes - 7 million euro
Balgaddy F, Lucan, 50 new homes - 10 million euro
St. Marks Avenue, Clondalkin, 39 new homes - 7.8 million euro

Dublin City Council:

Bunratty Phase 1C, Infill @ Coolock, 62 new homes - 13.54 million euro
25/177 North King Street, Dublin 7, 30 new homes - 6.4 million euro
Cornamoma, Ballyfermot (Off KymoreRd), 45 new homes - 9.25 million euro
Infirmary Road/Montpelier Hill, Dublin 7, 30 new homes 6.57 million euro

Fingal County Council:

Racecourse Commons, Lusk, Phase 2, 50 new homes - 9 million euro
The Grange, Ballyboughill, Co Dublin, 8 new homes 1.47 million euro
Castlelands, Balbriggan, Co Dublin, 24 new homes - 4.1 million euro
Rathbeale Road, Swords, 25 new homes - 4.4 million euro

Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown Co. Council:

Rochestown House Phase 3, 14 new homes - 3.3 million euro
Fitzgerald Park, 50 new homes - 12 million euro
Broadford Rise, 21 new homes - 5.1 million euro
St Michaels Terrace, 4 new homes - 1 million euro
