That’s a lovely description now isn’t it 😂
U2 have finished up their history-making run of the Sphere in Las Vegas, performing 40 sold out shows in the enormous, futuristic venue.
People travelled from all over the world to hear the Dublin band play, and the show raked in 5 star reviews across the board.
Ahead of their final show, U2 were interviewed on a US radio station and spoke about the experience of being the first band to play at The Sphere.
“We sort of had a very lucky break because being the first band, we got a chance to explore the sound system and work very closely with the venue people to get our visuals working,” the Edge told SiriusXM's U2 X-Radio ahead of the final show.
“I don't think anyone will do exactly what we're doing, what we did, and I think that's probably a good thing.”
Bono revealed that the dry desert climate of Las Vegas was in danger of drying out his throat, and in order to protect his valuable singing voice, he had to stay indoors at all times, surrounded by dehumidifiers.
“It was like the reptile house in the zoo when we were kids in Dublin, and so the missus didn't want to be in the room. It was like she said, the smell of boiled carpet off you and I'm like, "Okay, that's not good,"' the 63-year-old singer admitted.
So if you ever wanted to know what Bono smells like, you just need to head to the reptile house in Dublin Zoo 😂
