Gone Girl, based on the book by the same name, is about a woman, Amy Dunne (played by Rosamund Pike), who goes missing and her husband Nick (Ben Affleck) becoming the number one suspect in her murder case.There is no body or any specific proof which can prove Nick had anything to do with his wife's disappearance.
The movie flips between present and past, giving you an insight into the couple and makes you question Nick's innocence. If you've read the book you'll know what happens, but for someone who hasn't read it the movie takes a lot of twists and turns, making it all the more compelling to watch.
The ending is surprising, to say the least, but we won't give that away!
It's quite dark but with a hint of humour in parts which lightens the overall mood. Definitely worth going to see if you're planning a trip to the cinema.
