Man In His Sixties Dies Following Fatal Assault In Dublin

A man in his sixties has died following a fatal assault in Dublin last night.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances around the incident, which took place before midnight in Carriglea View in Firhouse.

The man’s body remains at the scene and the State Patholigist has been notified.

Another man, in his thirties, and has been arrested and is being held at Tallaght Garda Station.

A technical examination is due to be carried out on the scene and a post-mortem examination will take place later today.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to come foward,

They're particularly appealing for anyone who was in the area  between 11.30 and 12.30 last night to come forward.
