The phone known as "the brick" is making a comeback. Nokia is re-releasing its 3310, and it will be available to buy from later this month.

First released in September 2000, the 3310 was known for its long lasting battery life and being able to take many a knock and drop without failing.

Second-hand versions are available to buy online, but in a bid to cash in on fans of everything retro, Nokia is going to start making the handsets again. It's expected many people will buy them as "second" phones for things like festivals.

The refreshed version is expected to set customers back €59, but it's not clear if it will be an exact replica of the old phone or if it will be tweaked to manage a 4G signal and various other features smartphone fans have become dependent on.

If the new 3310 does include some smart features, it may pull on that much-loved long battery life, which is one of the main reasons everyone loved it so much.

Nokia is reportedly set to launch several new Android-powered smartphones, including the Nokia P1, at Mobile World Congress 2017.
