Dubliner Sharon Kane's Michael D Higgins-inspired Christmas tree went viral over the weekend. She has named the cute knitted topper Michael Tree Higgins!

The lovely tree toppers are actually tea cosies are knitted by the ladies at the Lourdes Day Care Centre in Dublin.
They cost €30 and all money from sales go to the centre. The Lourdes Day Care Centre provide hot meals and offer vital services for the over 60’s in Dublin’s North East Inner City.
Their main aim is to keep people more active both physically and mentally and provide activities such as - Arts and Crafts, Knitting, Bingo, Games, Quizzes, parties, weekends away and more.
