Cadbury Creme Egg X Aoife McNamara

Irish fashion designer Aoife McNamara has teamed up with Cadbury Creme Egg for an exciting new collaboration.

Inspired by their, 'How Do You Not Eat Yours,' competition, Aoife has created three outfits designed to make it impossible to eat a Cadbury Creme Egg.

The competition began in December and will run until April 17th.

It sees a limited number of half milk and half white chocolate Creme Eggs hidden in major retailers across the country.

The specific locations are being kept so secret, that even Cadbury don’t know where they are.

If you’re lucky enough to find one of the winning half-and-half Cadbury Creme Eggs, here's what you'll need to do:

  • Step 1. Unwrap a Creme Egg to see if you have a half-and-half egg.
  • Step 2. If you have a winning egg, resist the urge to take a bite.
  • Step 3. Call the phone number (during office hours only) that's printed on the ticket under the foil on the winning egg to find out how to claim your prize. Keep this ticket as it'll be required to validate your claim.
  • Step 4: When you call, you will be asked to answer a series of verification questions including the unique code on the ticket, the retailer it was purchased from, plus the date and location of purchase.

In line with the competition, the confectionery company enlisted the help of Irish fashion designer Aoife McNamara.

They gave her the task of creating an exclusive range designed to make it impossible to put a Cadbury Creme Egg in your mouth.

And she absolutely killed it!

Aoife hand-crafted a striking ensemble that consists of three looks - all of which boast an eye-catching, Cadbury Creme Egg colour palette.

One outfit includes a striking top made with metal boning sleeves, another features a face covering and another includes no grip thumbless mittens.

All of which prevent the wearer from tucking into their winning Cadbury Creme Egg.

Aoife said of her designs: 'Sustainability was at the forefront of my design process when starting this project.'

'All production was 100% Irish made, including Irish wool sourced from a local woolen mill John Hanley’s where it was woven and finished.'

'My Inspiration behind these pieces came from the colours of a Cadbury Creme Egg.'

'The vibrant colours like Cadbury purple inject fun and are represented in each look.'

'Design elements like the puff sleeves were taken from the round Creme Egg shape, and the iconic Creme Egg splat was incorporated into the giant bow.'
