Ireland's Most Popular Girl Names have been released and there is one that will surprise you.

The Central Statistics Office has given the top names for boys and girls born in 2019.

Two names have remained constant at the top of the list which are Jack and Emily.

452 sets of parents named their child Emily last year.

One Irish name that has jumped up the list is Fiadh with 334 baby girls being named this last year alone.

Other names that featured in the top 5 were Grace, Sophie and Hannah.

The top 5 for boys names of 2019 were Jack at number one, James, Noah, Conor and Daniel respectively.
