If you're heading to Electric Picnic this weekend, don't forget to pack your raincoat and your wellies.

The weather forecast has been revealed and it's set to be wet and windy at times.

According to Met Eireann, rain is forecast in Stradbally on Friday with 1.5mm expected to fall that night/early Saturday morning. Meanwhile, some light showers are expected on Saturday and Sunday.

Check out Met Eireann's national forecast for the coming days:

Friday

Friday looks set to be a wet day for most of the country with outbreaks of rain spreading to most parts during the course of the day. Some heavy falls are expected in Atlantic coastal counties. Top temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees. Fresh and gusty southwest winds will ease fora time in the afternoon and evening.

Friday night will be very wet and locally windy conditions, with a risk of spot flooding. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.

Saturday

Met Eireann says at present, it looks as though heavy rain from overnight will gradually give way to bright or sunny spells and scattered showers during Saturday. Some of the showers could be heavy with the risk of thunder, especially over the northern half of the country. Highest temperatures 14 to 17 degrees with moderate to fresh and gusty southerly winds.

The showers will become confined to Atlantic coasts overnight on Saturday. Mainly dry elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees.

Sunday

Fresh and cool on Sunday with sunny spells and scattered showers. Again some of the showers could be heavy, especially in the north. Top temperatures just 13 to 16 degrees with moderate to fresh west to northwest winds.
