Walking home alone can be quite nerve racking sometimes, we can feel totally alone even when there are many people around us, especially at night. Most of us will always ring a friend or family member to talk to us until we get home.
Well now you can have your own companion to walk you home, your own virtual security.
The new companion app was developed to make sure that people can feel safe while walking alone to their destination.
You simply enter in your destination and select the person you would like to have as your companion. This allows your companion to track your journey on a GPS map, and they don't even need to have the app.
Safety is this apps main concern and it will even ask you if you are ok, if you do not respond your companion will be notified. Along with this feature the app can detect if you have started running or if your headphones have been taken out of the phone.
And if needed you will be give the option to call the police.
