Foo Fighters are helping a major Irish fundraising drive. The band has given permission for one of their tracks to be re-recorded for charity.
Irish band Wild Youth, who supported The Corona's in 3Arena on Saturday, have teamed up with the Woodie’s choir to record the track.
It will help raise money for four charities.
Conor O’Donoghue from Wild Youth said “Temple Street, Down Syndrome Ireland, Make-A-Wish and Jack and Jill are four amazing charities, doing unbelievable work for children in Ireland."
"They deserve as much help as we can give them, so we were delighted when the Woodies Choir asked us to get involved", he said.
The Woodie’s Heroes campaign has seen colleagues, friends, customers and suppliers put in a tremendous effort to “Raise a Smile” over the past four years.
Last year, Woodie’s secured the rights to record and release David Bowie's track, ‘Heroes’ for the fundraiser.
Over the last three years, Woodie's has raised over €750,000 as part of its children’s charity campaign, and is hoping to reach the €1 million milestone this year.
