You may have noticed the drop in temperature this week. While you'll still definitely need to wear a coat over the coming days, the good news is that it'll be mainly try this weekend with temperatures slightly above normal.
According to Met Eireann, rainfall amounts will be below normal with weekend.
"Mainly dry, with rainfall amounts below normal. Temperatures normal or a little above by day, but cool nights", the forecaster states in its national outlook.
In Dublin today, rain will develop this evening with highs of 9 or 10 degrees in fresh winds. Friday night will be cool, misty and cloudy with more heavy rain. Lows of 5 or 6 degrees.
Tomorrow in Dublin will be cloudy and first with some rain that will clear quickly. Saturday afternoon is expected to be dry and bright with sunny spells. Top temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees.

Mainly dry and bright. A mix of cloud and sunny spells. There's a possibility of some light rain or drizzle in the north. Highs of 11 or 12 degrees in the east. However, it will be 13 to 15 degrees elsewhere.
Monday
Some dry and bright spells but showery rain in places. Top temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in eastern counties but 13 to 15 degrees elsewhere. Some dry, clear spells overnight. Some rain in places too. Lows of 3 to 6 degrees.
Tuesday
Mainly dry with some bright, sunny spells but a few scattered showers about. It'll be around 11 or 12 degrees in the east. The rest of the country will be warmer will temperatures ranging between 13 to 15 degrees. Cool and dry overnight with lows of 3 to 7 degrees.
Midweek
Cold and mainly dry, some frosts at nights.
