So, the first week in December is coming to a close, and the decorating is in full swing.

Are you putting up your decorations this weekend?

Well, if you need some inspiration for your home this festive season, take a look at some of the amazing house displays spotted around Dublin this year so far.

Stephen in Kilnamanagh in Tallaght has gone all out this year, and does so every year. Speaking to 98FM he said he "loves putting the lights up". He's been decorating his house at Christmas for about 20 years now, and every year he raises money for charity with a donation box out the front for anyone who pops by.

Stephen welcomes everyone to come have a look at his lights display. He said, "We love it, we want more people to come up and see it". The lights are even tuned in to time along with music! If you fancy some inspiration, head along to Tamarisk Close, Kilnamanagh, Tallaght.

There's so many people making an extra effort this year.

Mr. Tilly is well known in his area on Bath Avenue, and he's been decorating his house for around 7 years now. He also collects for charity, mainly The Hospice. He said his sons help him to decorate the house, and it usually takes "anywhere from three weeks or more". He continued to say he gets great support from rugby fans, being so close to the Aviva Stadium, and the neighbours tell him "Mr. Tilly, you do a great job".

Liam Whelan in Cabra West has this amazing display on his house. He said he started doing it for his own children, but now that they're grown up he does it for his grandchildren. He continued to say he gets "great excitement from it".

And Des on Thornsdale Avenue, Beaumont is catching everyone's eye who drives by. He started 13 years ago, and has been doing it ever since. He said, "It takes three months to put it all up". He also collects for charity, and says that "everyone is very good"  in giving donations. He took his inspiration from America when he was over there years ago.
