When 98FM News' Rebecca Horan isn't busy breaking stories in the Dublin News Centre, she's moonlighting as a blogger with her best gal pal, model Corina Grant Doyle. We asked them to choose some alternative Christmas party looks that could take you from the twelve pubs of Christmas, to the office party, to Stephen's Day at the in-laws. There isn't a dodgy jumper in sight!

Black jumpsuit €32 ¦ "Fur" coat €59 ¦ New Look ¦ Shoes €39.99 Zara

First up, a faux fur and jumpsuit combo. Rebecca says "Fur can add an element of luxury to a simple outfit. The front ties up on this jumpsuit so while it covers the body it is still quite sexy. The fur also softens the black. Try this for a comfortable J-Lo inspired look."

Red jumpsuit €39.99 H&M ¦ Black court shoes €29.99 New Look

Corina says you wouldn't normally catch her dead in a sleeveless jumpsuit, let alone a red one. But the simple cut of this along with the pockets made this surprisingly chic.

Black tuxedo dress €65 ¦ Necklace €9.95 ¦ Topshop ¦ Red Shoes €59 Marks & Spencer ¦ Black coat is Rebecca's own (from Massimo Dutti)

The tuxedo dress is a nod to Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian's penchant for the look. To keep it classy Rebecca's thrown her own black winter coat over it and added a simple gold chain. It's a sharper look for a cocktail party and the dash of colour keeps it young, but nearly any pair of shoes in your wardrobe would go with this.

Dress €46 ¦ Bag €18.50 ¦ New Look ¦ Tights are Corina's own.

Purple is always a safe but glamorous alternative to black. It also looks good on pale skin. These jewel cuffs add some sparkle and the bag is an absolute bargain. It can be passed off as vintage, and will go with everything.

Bardot Top €35 ¦ Culottes €35 ¦ River Island ¦ Black court shoes €29.99 New Look

This is Rebecca's favourite party look. The top shows off the shoulders but the culottes keep it classy. They're still on trend by the way - just ask Kaley Penny-from-the-Big-Bang-theory Cuoco. When you don't want to show your legs, culottes are perfect and the silhouette of fitted versus wide can be very flattering. Finish with belt to nip in the waist and a pair of black courts.

Skirt €40 ¦ Top €35 ¦ "Fur" jacket €82 ¦ Topshop ¦ Silver stilettos €39.99 Zara

There's a bang of Kate Moss off this look. Sexy and cool, without trying to hard. Perfect for a bit of day-to-night bar hopping (Whaaat? It's Christmas!). Corina's says "Each piece is versatile and comfortable and could work well individually - so it represents good value for money. The tights keep it classy while the silver stilettos add some frivolous fun."

Dress €19.99 ¦ White Stole €19.99 ¦ H&M ¦ Gold shoes Rebecca's own from LK Bennett

This red chiffon dress is probably for the dressier Christmas party. It's long (and Rebecca would be tall enough!) but it's fitted and hangs nicely, with a tie for the waist too. "I wouldn't normally wear such a bright shade of red with my hair colour but the long sleeves and slit gave it a more old-school-glamour feel. It'd be nice for a summer wedding with flip flops either!"

Floral jumpsuit €45 ¦ River Island ¦ Black court shoes €29.99 New Look

Instead of sequins, why not try bold patterns? You could channel Gwynnie and go full floral. Corina vouches for the fact this jumpsuit is mega comfy to wear. She decided against jewellery, given it's such a 'busy' outfit, and added black socks and shoes for a bit of an edge!
