A Super-Easy, 3-Ingredient Dessert Recipe To Surprise Your Other Half This Valentines

Looking for something quick and easy to whip up to impress your other half this Valentine's Day?

Graham Heretich aka The Cupcake Bloke was on The Saturday Social with Rachael this morning, he revealed his super easy Valentines Dessert recipe- Chocolate Mousse with Rose & Black Pepper Shortbread:


Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:

  • 200g 70% Dark Chocolate
  • 6 egg whites
  • 2tbsp Caster Sugar
  • Fresh Raspberries / Strawberries, to serve

Method:

  • Melt the chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until just melted.
  • Whisk the egg whites to soft peaks, add in the sugar and whisk again until the mixture forms stiff peaks.
  • Add a big tablespoon of the egg white to the melted chocolate.
  • Fold in the remaining egg whites carefully using a spatula
  • Spoon into 4 glasses or ramekins and set in the fridge for 2-3 hours.
  • Serve with fresh berries & shortbread

Rose & Black Pepper Shortbread

Ingredients

  • 125g Butter
  • 55g Caster Sugar
  • 180g Plain Flour
  • 1 Fresh Rose, finely sliced
  • Few drops of Rose Water
  • Black Pepper

Method

  • Heat the oven to 180⁰
  • Beat the butter and the sugar together until smooth.
  • Stir in the flour, black pepper, rose water & petals to get a smooth paste.
  • Turn on to a work surface and gently roll out until the paste is 1cm thick.
  • Cut into hearts and place onto a baking tray, and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until pale golden-brown.
  • Cool on a wire rack.
