5 Simple Ways To Stop Procrastinating

Whether it's putting off completing that important work presentation or taking ages to book the dentist appointment for the kids, we're masters at putting things on the long finger.

With that in mind, here are five tips on how to be more productive in your day-to-day life:

1. Make a To-Do List

Whether you do it first thing in the morning, or make a list just before you go to bed, get into the routine of doing out a daily to-do list. Writing out your list gives you a clear picture of what tasks need to be completed before the end of the day.

 

2. Put Away The Phone

We know you don't need reminding, but your phone is the biggest distraction you own. Turning it off or even leaving it in another room for 30 minutes will give you the time to start ticking off that to-do list without annoying notifications getting in your way.

3. Create A Good Atmosphere

There's no point trying to complete that work report in a busy sitting room! Find a quiet corner of the house or maybe bring the laptop to the bedroom instead and give yourself a calmer space to get things done.

 

4. Break Down Your Tasks

A massive to-do list can be daunting so prioritise your tasks. Put the most urgent ones to the top and the smaller, more manageable ones towards the bottom. 

 

5. Reward Yourself

Finally, don't be so hard on yourself. Reward yourself with a cuppa or a small break everytime you complete a big task. You deserve it!
