Four men have been arrested in connection with a shooting on Blakestown Road in Blanchardstown in March.

A man in his 20s was seriously injured when he was shot in a van on March 6th.

Yesterday, gardaí targeting organised crime gangs carried out searches in the Hartstown area.

The army and the Garda Armed Support Unit assisted during the operation.

Three men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested in Blanchardstown in connection with the March 6th shooting incident.

A fourth man was also arrested as part of the operation, following similar searches in Limerick.

During the Dublin searches, army engineers used ground penetrating radar to uncover €9,000 in cash buried underground.

The four arrested men are currently being held in Blanchardstown and Finglas Garda Stations in Dublin under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
