Everyone Aged 18+ Can Register For Pfizer Or Moderna Vaccine From Tomorrow

As of tomorrow, every adult in Ireland will be able to register for an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.

It means everyone aged over 18 will be eligible for a Pfizer or Moderna jab.

The good news for all over 18s comes just days after registration opened to 25-29-year-olds, with Health Minister Stephen Donnelly saying the vaccination programme is now "ahead of schedule".

People aged 18 to 24 can already 'opt in' to get an AstraZeneca vaccine - meaning they'll be offered that vaccine if it's available ahead of the Pfizer or Moderna ones.

However, health officials currently recommend that everyone aged under 50 get one of the two mRNA vaccines where possible.

People aged 18 to 34 can also get the Janssen vaccine from pharmacies.
