American Dustin Johnson is confirmed for the JP McManus Pro-Am at Adare Manor in July of next year.

The star-studded event, which has taken place since 1990 and benefits charities in the Mid-West, will be held in Limerick on July 6th and July 7th 2020.

15 time major winner Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Padraig Harrington and celebrities Niall Horan and Mark Wahlberg have already confirmed their attendance.

The field will also include Irish Open champion Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia.

Dustin Johnson is the number two ranked golfer in the world. He held off the challenge of Shane Lowry to win the 2016 US Open at Oakmont, his only major championship to date.

He has 22 professional wins and last appeared at the Pro-Am in 2010.

Also confirmed today are Ireland's Graeme McDowell, American Matt Kuchar and Spain's Rafael Cabrera Bello.

The Tom Fazio redesigned Adare Manor is now one of the top golf courses in Ireland and is a contender to be the host venue for the 2026 Ryder Cup matches between Europe and the United States.

The course reopened in 2017.

It previously hosted the Irish Open, with Padraig Harrington successful there back in 2007.

Tournament host JP McManus said:

Dustin Johnson has been a great supporter of the Pro-Am in years past, so I’m delighted he will again join us in Limerick next summer. His career has delivered so much since the last Pro-Am and it’ll be a privilege for the spectators to see him in action. The same goes for Graeme, Matt and Rafa – three superb golfers all showcasing the true nature of the event. I’d also strongly encourage anybody wishing to join us in Adare to get their ticket caps ASAP – with one year to go we have already sold a large quantity and we don’t want people disappointed to miss out.”
