This relationship is an early noughties dream!
Ashanti and Nelly are officially back together, they’re engaged, and now there’s a baby on the way!
The singer shared the news via a whole production on her socials, where she can been seen getting ready for a show, and when asked how much time she needed to get ready, produces a pregnancy test and says “about 9 months”.

In an interview with Essence magazine, the 43-year-old revealed her excitement about becoming a new mam.
“Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
While this will be Ashanti’s first baby, it will be Nelly’s fifth child.
The 49-year-old already shares his 21-year-old son Cornell III and his 26-year-old daughter Chanelle with his former partner, Channetta Valentine.
He also adopted the two children of his late sister, Jackie Donahue, after she died of leukaemia in 2005.
There had already been rumours around Nelly and Ashanti expecting a baby in September of last year when it was first revealed they’d gotten back together, but the couple are officially confirming the news now.
The pair had dated on and off for years during the noughties but officially called it quits in 2013.
