The driving test centre in Raheny failed more car drivers this year than any other test centre in Dublin.

Figures from the Road Safety Authority released to TheJournal.ie, show all four test centres in Dublin had some of the lowest pass rates for car drivers in the country.

The figures, released under Freedom of Information, show most car drivers across the country failed their test between January and October.

49% of car owners passed, while 51% didn't.

Less than four in ten car drivers who did their test in Raheny were given a licence.

Those with the highest pass rates are mainly based in the north and west of the country.

Clifden in Galway came out on top, with 77% of drivers passing their test.
