David Bowie has reportedly been cremated in New York, without his friends or family present.
According to the Irish Daily Mirror, the 69 year old music legend who died of cancer on Sunday, had requested that there be no funeral or public memorial service.
It's believed the Starman had requested what's known as a "direct cremation", when a person's body is taken directly from where they died to a crematorium. The ashes are generally returned to loved ones, unless otherwise specified.
David Bowie will be honoured with a musical tribute at Carnegie Hall in New York on the 31st of March.
