Australians have celebrated New Year in style once again this year.
The world famous fireworks on Sydney Harbour Bridge were watched by 1.6 million people in the city, who were celebrating the clock striking midnight at 1pm Irish Time.
The display featured a rainbow-theme to celebrate the passing of marriage equality in November.
ABC News reports 1 billion people across the globe have viewed the party in "the New Years Eve capital of the world."
