The annual Darkness Into Light event takes place this Saturday May 11th.

Every year thousands of people come out in force to support Pieta House and suicide prevention.

Dublin Bus is kindly providing a free shuttle bus for those taking part in the Phoenix Park event.

Darkness Into Light

2019 marks the tenth year of the fundraising event.

The inaugural event saw 400 people take part but that number has grown significantly over the years.

In 2018 200,000 people took part in 150 locations around the world.

Pieta House have been able to keep their facilities open because of the fundraising from this event.

It's also enabled them to run a 24/7 crisis helpline free of charge

The walk takes place at 4:15am on Saturday May 11th across various location.
