The weather forecast for Friday isn't looking to shabby. However, heavy showers are forecast in parts on Saturday and Sunday.

Met Eireann says the weather from Sunday will continue to be 'changeable and showery'.

Here's the Dublin forecast and national forecast for the coming days:

Dublin Forecast

Friday:

Dry and mostly cloudy today in Dublin with a small amount of rain developing this afternoon and evening. Highs of 15 to 17 degrees.

It'll be dry tonight with a few drops of drizzle. Lows of 6 to 8 degrees.

Saturday:

Saturday will be mainly dry with a mix of cloudy and sunny spells tomorrow. There will be some passing showers in the afternoon. Highs of 15 or 16 degrees.

National Forecast

Saturday

Saturday will start dry in many areas with sunny spellls.

The northwest will be dull with patchy rain and showers with some bright spells later. There'll be some scattered and heavy in west Munster and west Connacht.

It'll be cool, especially in Atlantic coastal areas. Maximum temperatures 13 to 16 Celsius.

Sunday

Another cool day with a mix of sunny spells and occasional showers. The morning will be dry but there'll be widespread showers in the afternoon - some heavy inland.

Showers will die out by the evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees.

Monday 

A mix of sunny spells but with heavy or even thundery showers. Winds will be light with temperatures in the high teens.

Tuesday & Wednesday 

Mainly dry and cloudy with sunny spells. Any showers will be isolated and light. North or northwest breezes will be fresh generally, and staying on the cool side.

The forecaster says the further outlook is uncertain but is likely to stay unsettled.
