Craig Walsh is in the process and rebuilding his football career and his life.

The 24 year old is in the middle of an one year ban from football after failing a drugs test.

He took cocaine on a night out in September 2015 having lost €1500 gambling that day and played for Shelbourne three days later.

Randomly selected for a drug test after the match, he failed and was given a two year ban, on appeal it was reduced to one.

€1500 is three times his weekly wage.

He was "drunk and sloppy" at the time and at the "bottom of the mountain" when he took the drug.

Walsh says it is the one and only time he has taken cocaine.

After 35 counselling sessions, Craig sat down with Now That’s What I Call Sport presenter Jamie Moore for an exclusive interview over the weekend.

He talks about his gambling addiction, the day that he nearly lost it all, the feeling of being drug tested knowing he had cocaine in his system and his hopes for a future in football.

Walsh has also spoken out about the dangers of gambling from a young age, he began at just 17.
