Irish actress Caitriona Balfe has secured another Golden Globe nomination. It's her fourth nomination in a row for her work on the TV series, Outlander.

Irish co-production The Favourite is up for awards in five categories, including best motion picture (Musical or Comedy).

Olivia Colman, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz are all nominated for their roles in the film, which was produced by Dublin-based Element Pictures.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Hugh Grant will go head-to-head with each other at this year’s Golden Globe Awards.

The actors are both up for best TV actor for their roles in Patrick Melrose and A Very English Scandal.

Political comedy Vice leads the nominations with six.

Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, A Star Is Born and Beale Street are all up for Best Drama Film.

The Golden Globes, which will be held on January 7th, are seen as a good indicator of what stars, movie-makers and films are likely to get shortlisted for the Oscars.
