Philly McMahon admits Dublin have been playing catch up this year.
The 2016 All-Ireland winning panel missed the pre-season O’Byrne Cup win, as they were on holiday in January.
The Boys in Blue haven’t been at their imperious best this year, despite staying unbeaten for the duration of the league campaign.
Jim Gavin’s men have drawn three of their seven games, and needed a late rally to get past Monaghan the last day.
Dubs defender McMahon admitted to 98FM’s Derek Ryan that they have been a little slow getting out of the blocks this year, after missing the O’Byrne Cup:
Dublin face Kerry in the Division 1 Final at Croke Park on Sunday, with throw in at 4pm.
Before that, Kildare face Galway in the Division 2 final from 2pm.
We’ll be giving away tickets to the games on The Big Breakfast on Friday morning and also on Now That’s What I Call Sport on Sunday!
